Every $10 helps to grow, plant & maintain one tree for one year, or buy back two square metres of rainforest. Your support helps restore the Daintree Lowland Rainforest, protect and create wildlife corridors, and provide food plants for the endangered Cassowary and the myriad species that call the Daintree Rainforest home.
The Southern Cassowary is the third largest bird in the world. It is native to tropical rainforests, yet habitat loss and fragmentation caused by development and human activities threaten its survival. These living dinosaurs are gardeners of the rainforest and play a crucial role in tropical rainforest ecology and regeneration.
Rainforest Rescue is growing and planting trees, as well as rescuing at-risk rainforest, to protect and restore essential habitat for the Cassowary.
