LOT 19: RESCUED!

Thank You… amazing result! We’ve reached our target two weeks before the deadline and have rescued our No.1 priority vulnerable rainforest property in the Daintree.

Lot 19 Cape Tribulation Road in the Cape Kimberley region of the Daintree has been No.1 on our priority list since it was put up for sale on the open market in 2015. We launched an appeal to rescue the rainforest but the property was sold before we could raise enough funds. A small area was cleared for a house but luckily the new owners eventually decided not to build on the block and the vast majority remains intact and in pristine condition.

Backing on to National Park and adjacent to two other Rainforest Rescue properties, Lot 19 Cape Tribulation Road has good connectivity and high biodiversity value. Our next step is to strip development rights from the land with a covenant and add the rainforest block to the Milky Pine Nature Refuge – helping Protect Rainforest Forever.
