INTERNS
Rainforest Rescue Interns have worked on projects ranging from eco-tourism, cassowary conservation partnerships, sustainable business, marketing, IT system upgrades, and database management and development.
Rainforest Rescue and the University of Sydney’s ‘Study Abroad’ Program
Rainforest rescue offers formal internship programs with the University of Sydney’s ‘Study Abroad Program’ to bring interns into the rainforest rescue family across various study areas. We also work with many interns direct, outside of university programs. All intern work at present is undertaken remotely and supports our Partnerships Program.
Postgrad Internship Program
Rainforest Rescue also offers an International Postgraduate Internship Program (3 months full-time, 6 months part-time). This is generally undertaken from RR HQ in Byron Shire, NSW, or remotely but also may involve research up in tropical far north Queensland.
Our first intern in this program undertook research into invasive species and weed control which helped Rainforest Rescue review best practices in this area and strengthen our policies.
